Richmond Heights Modern Craftsman Kitchen
Took down two interior walls of a 1995 colonial. Quartersawn white oak cabinetry, soapstone perimeter, walnut island. Family of five, cooks every night.
The challenge
The original kitchen had three doorways carving up the back wall and a tight galley layout that made hosting impossible. We pulled the dining room wall, relocated the powder room entry, and gave them a single 11-foot island that anchors the new open plan without sacrificing prep zones.
