Kitchen Remodeling
The kitchen is the
whole house, really.
Cleveland kitchens get cooked in, lived in, hosted in. We design around how your family actually uses the space — not around what looked good in last year's magazine.
Three Kinds of Kitchen Project
Refresh, replace, or reimagine.
Most homeowners come to us thinking they need a full remodel and end up doing less. Some come thinking they need cabinet paint and end up doing more. The first thing we figure out together is which of these three projects you're actually doing — because budget, timeline, and disruption all hinge on it.
Scope 01
Refresh
Same layout, new surfaces
Cabinets refaced or painted, new counters and backsplash, fresh hardware, updated lighting and fixtures. The bones stay; the look changes completely.
Typical investment
$25–$48K
Timeline
4–6 weeks
Best for
Kitchens with a layout that already works but cabinetry, counters, or finishes that feel dated.
Scope 02
Replace
Same layout, all-new everything
Full demo. New custom cabinetry, new stone counters, new floors, new appliances. Layout stays the same, but every surface is brand new.
Typical investment
$52–$95K
Timeline
8–11 weeks
Best for
Kitchens where the layout works but the cabinets are tired, the floor is shot, and you want to start clean.
Scope 03
Reimagine
New layout — walls come down
Walls relocated or removed, plumbing and gas runs adjusted, often structural beams added. The kitchen ends up somewhere different than it started — usually more open, always more functional.
Typical investment
$95–$195K+
Timeline
11–16 weeks
Best for
Older Cleveland homes where the original 1925 layout no longer matches how a 2026 family lives — and the walls in the way are the actual problem.
About 70% of Townsell projects are Replace. The second most common is Reimagine — older Cleveland housing stock often needs the layout to change.
Honest Pricing
Pricing by size and finish level.
Most Townsell kitchens land between Mid and Upper finish levels. The biggest variables are cabinet construction (semi-custom vs. inset custom), appliance package, and whether walls are coming down.
What's included
- Full demolition and disposal
- Custom or semi-custom cabinetry
- Stone or quartz countertops
- Appliance installation (appliances priced separately)
- Plumbing, electrical, HVAC modifications as needed
- Backsplash, hardware, lighting
- Painting and finish carpentry
Ranges are project totals — labor, materials, finish work. Appliances and major fixtures (range, vanity, tub) are typically priced separately so you can choose what fits your home. Most Townsell projects land between Mid and Upper.
